(Cell phone drawings or tablet drawings)
These drawings are group as Cell Phone Drawings. They were made using a mid-range cellphone and a drawing app. I have a Motorola G54 and use the Sketchbook app. The learning curve is not short—in fact, it takes quite a while to reach a level of reliable usability.
The fact that the phone doesn’t support a stylus, I believe, makes things more difficult. What you gain, however, is convenience and the ability to make use of idle time. If you’re in a doctor’s waiting room, it can be useful for capturing something. It could be a landscape, or simply bringing back an image from memory. Or while traveling down a highway, capturing something may prove useful.
One of the major references for drawing on a cellphone is Hockney. He has achieved something remarkable. He draws on a phone while maintaining the same style he uses on large canvases.
